HOYA SQ100 Black Mist 1/8 100mm Square Filter

HOYA Black Mist filters are compatible with SQ100 filter-holder system and major filter-holder system using 100x100mm filters with 2mm thickness, such as COKIN NX-Series. Using Black Mist filters will create a cinematic rendering to your pictures and video, smoothening objects, textures and skins, while diffusing light sources and lowering general contrast. Black Mist can be used in many photographic fields such as landscape or portrait to create unique color rendering and cinema look. Black Mist 1/4 has stronger diffusing effect than 1/8 version, which can be useful when light sources are far from the frame and/or for aesthetic intentions of course. Black Mist 1/8 has a more subtle diffusing effect but both are the best to shoot like cinema style. A clear Mist filter version is also available with the same effect without lowering general contrast.
