This full-scale printed plan of a PRS McCarty style electric guitar is beautifully drawn using CAD software. It includes a fret slotting chart, wiring diagram, materials list, contours & more. The McCarty is one of the more challenging solidbody electric guitars to build. It has a glued-in neck and carved top as well as a tremolo, which requires extra cavity routing and setup. The two humbucker pickups are set into the body using mounting rings. A variety of parts are available in different finishes. It has a straightforward wiring design with one volume control, one tone control and a toggle switch.
